Trio of É«ÇéÍøÕ¾ skiers earn Academic All-American honors

Anchorage – The É«ÇéÍøÕ¾ ski team had three Seawolves, Carmen Nielssen, Corbin Carpenter and Jan Ronner, earn Academic All-American honors as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Junior Carmen Nielssen earned All-American honors for the second straight year, including first-team honors this season. The native of Sandvika, Norway earned a pair of All-American honors with a fourth-place finish in the slalom and a 10th-place finish in the giant slalom at the NCAA National Championships. She earned the Elite 90 Award for skiing and has a 4.0 GPA in finance.
Sophomore Corbin Carpenter earned Second-Team Academic All-American honors. The native of Carbondale, Colo. Earned All-American honors with a 10th-place finish in the 7.5-kilometer classic at the NCAA National Championships. He has a 3.92 GPA in health sciences.
Senior Jan Ronner earned Third-Team Academic All-American honors. The native of Wald Im Schoberpass, Austria earned All-American honors with a ninth-place finish in the slalom at the NCAA National Championships. He has a 3.85 GPA in finance.
The teams are selected by the College Sports Communicators. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a 3.5+ GPA and be at least a sophomore academically.
