The College of Health (COH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathy Craft as interim dean. Craft brings experience and deep commitment to health education across Alaska. Prior to this appointment, she served as UA’s associate vice provost for health programs, where she championed statewide initiatives to strengthen and expand health-related academic programs and workforce development.
Craft earned a Bachelor of Science in social work from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Arts in community psychology from UAF. She holds a State of Alaska professional counselor license and is an approved clinical supervisor, further demonstrating her dedication to supporting the next generation of health care professionals in Alaska.
A proud Alaskan since 1981, Craft and her husband have four children — three sons and a daughter — all of whom continue to call Alaska home. Outside her professional work, Craft enjoys the state’s natural beauty, as well as spending time honing her skills in the kitchen, traveling and connecting with her family and six grandchildren.
